Advanced Problem Solving Questions

Evaluates how candidates approach multi step and ambiguous technical problems. Candidates should demonstrate problem decomposition, hypothesis driven debugging, pattern recognition across systems, identification of invariants and constraints, selection and justification of algorithms and data structures, time and space complexity analysis, trade off evaluation, risk assessment and mitigation, incremental validation and testing strategies, and clear communication of solution choices and alternatives. Interviewers assess structured reasoning, adaptability when new information appears, and the ability to choose pragmatic solutions for production systems.
