The Software Development Engineer I – Backend will develop and maintain backend services that power Digantara's software platform, building reliable APIs and scalable systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Strong foundation in backend development using Python or Node.js with a solid understanding of API design and database fundamentals.

Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting web-based applications.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Python or Node.js.
Design and optimize SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling using PostgreSQL.
Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end product functionality.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve service performance, reliability, and scalability.
B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in Computer Science or a related discipline.
0–2 years of experience in backend software development.
Experience developing backend applications using Python or Node.js.
Strong understanding of REST API design and service integration.
Working knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support cross-functional collaboration and end-to-end debugging.
Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, or session-based authentication.
Exposure to logging, monitoring, and production debugging practices.
Experience with Docker and cloud deployment fundamentals.
Understanding of modern backend architecture and software design principles.
High ownership mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
