Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team. You will be responsible for managing a high volume of structured compliance tasks, including SAR preparation, regulatory correspondence, due diligence documentation, and compliance record keeping.
This role is well-suited to a candidate who is early in their compliance career and looking to build a solid operational foundation in a regulated financial services environment, with exposure to financial crime prevention and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and supporting documentation, in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
Maintaining accurate records of all SAR filings and tracking outcomes
Drafting timely and accurate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from law enforcement agencies, courts, the FIAU, Police, Asset Recovery Bureau, and other regulatory or intelligence bodies
Maintaining a log of incoming requests and tracking response deadlines
Preparing compliance due diligence documentation and replies for partners, clients, and payment channels
Maintaining and updating compliance registers including SARs register, whistleblowing, gifts & hospitality, conflicts of interest, compliance advice, and other related records. Ensuring all registers are accurate, up to date, and audit-ready at all times
Gathering and consolidating data to support internal compliance reporting and KPI monitoring
Assisting in the preparation of compliance reports and presentations for senior management
Supporting the team with ad hoc data requests and compliance monitoring activities
Conducting compliance testing, including sample-based testing, in line with the Compliance Monitoring Program
Qualifications and Requirements:
A degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to process-driven tasks
Good written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence
Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and meet deadlines in a structured way
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)
A genuine interest in compliance, financial crime prevention, and the regulatory environment

Salary ranges are developed based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, such as internal job levels, scope of responsibilities, and external market data. The range listed for this position reflects the expected hiring range for qualified candidates and corresponds to the level and requirements of the role.
Actual compensation may vary depending on various factors, such as experience, skills, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Shift4’s compensation structures are subject to periodic review and ongoing alignment across regions. Additional components such as variable remuneration or other benefits may also apply based on eligibility and role type.
Salary Range: € 25,000 - € 30,000
