Our client is a premier global innovator and manufacturer specializing in advanced online inspection systems, multi-spectrum technology, and intelligent sorting solutions. With a robust international presence, they deliver cutting-edge quality control systems to the world's leading food processing, packaging, and agricultural enterprises. To accelerate their strategic expansion across Latin America, they are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Technical Sales Engineer to lead their market growth in Brazil.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical expertise and commercial execution. Based in São Paulo, you will be responsible for hunting new business opportunities within the food processing sector, managing local distributor networks, and providing hands-on technical guidance (installation, troubleshooting, and training) to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Market Development and Sales: Drive B2B sales growth, identify new market opportunities, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts in Brazil.
• Key Account Hunting: Actively prospect and develop enterprise-level clients within the food processing, packaging, and manufacturing industries.
• Channel and Partner Management: Recruit, onboard, and manage local agents and distributors to expand the company's market footprint.
• Technical Support and Commissioning: Guide clients and partners through on-site equipment installation, machine commissioning, calibration, and technical troubleshooting.
• Technical Training: Conduct comprehensive product and technical training sessions for both end-users and distributor technicians.
• Market Intelligence: Collect and analyze market trends, localized customer needs, and competitor movements to assist HQ in optimizing regional strategies.
• Project and Event Management: Organize client site visits, coordinate product sample testing, follow up on complex projects, and represent the brand at major industry trade shows and exhibitions.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Ensino Superior Tecnológico (Technologist Degree) or Bacharelado (Bachelor's Degree) in engineering or technical disciplines.
  • Preferred Majors: Automation Engineering (Engenharia de Controle e Automação), Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engenharia Elétrica/Eletrônica), Mechanical Engineering (Engenharia Mecânica), Food Engineering (Engenharia de Alimentos), or Mechatronics (Mecatrônica).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in B2B industrial equipment or machinery sales, pre-sales, or technical support.
  • Prior experience in food processing machinery, packaging equipment, inspection/detection systems, or the broader Industrial Automation industry is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record in client acquisition and sales channel/distributor management is highly preferred.
• Languages: Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and English.
• Soft Skills and Competencies: Strong technical acumen, excellent negotiation skills, self-driven mindset, and the ability to work independently in a cross-cultural environment.
• Travel: Willingness to travel regionally within Brazil for client visits and trade shows.
