직무 소개

쿠팡의 AI Security Architect는 인공지능 및 머신러닝 플랫폼 전반의 보안 아키텍처를 설계, 정의, 관리하는 핵심 역할을 수행합니다. 본 포지션은 전사 차원의 AI 보안 표준 아키텍처, 모델 안전성 프레임워크, 리스크 거버넌스 체계를 수립하며, 쿠팡의 리더십 원칙과 문화를 실천하는 기술 리더로서 차세대 AI 인프라에 Secure-by-Design 원칙을 내재화합니다.

자격 요건

서류 반환 정책

1. 본 고지는 『채용절차의공정화에관한법률』 제11조제6항에 따른 것 입니다.

Role Overview

Coupang’s AI Security Architects play a critical role in safeguarding our technology ecosystem by designing, defining, and governing the enterprise-wide security architecture for all artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms. As a AI Security Architect, you will establish standard reference architectures, model safety frameworks, and risk governance protocols across the organization. You will act as a principal technical leader and ambassador, championing Coupang’s leadership principles while embedding secure-by-design standards into our next-generation AI infrastructure.

What You Will Do

• Architect and scale secure AI/ML foundations for Coupang’s rapidly expanding business by designing end-to-end security blueprints, threat modeling complex pipelines, and establishing enterprise standards for secure model lifecycles.
• Employ a data-driven approach to AI risk management and threat governance. Define key security risk metrics, evaluate platform posture, and ensure architectural alignment with organizational objectives.
• Build close relationships with key stakeholders, including principal software engineers, enterprise architects, development leaders.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the business domains and specialized security demands for emerging technology platforms (e.g., LLM guardrails, agentic systems, real-time data privacy, and secure cloud MLOps infrastructure).
• Rapidly respond to our evolving technical and threat landscape, aggressively driving architectural innovations to create a world in which our customers ask, “How did I ever live without Coupang?”
• Improve the AI security ecosystem by reviewing system designs, auditing high-risk architectures, and authoring technical governance standards to prevent data leakage, model inversion, and pipeline compromise.
• Enhance developer efficiency and system reliability by delivering friction-free security frameworks, automated compliance patterns, and guidance during high-severity architectural security reviews.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 6+ years of total experience in technology, with significant focus on enterprise architecture, cloud security, or software security design.
• Deep architectural knowledge of AI/ML systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and specialized security threats unique to AI (e.g., prompt injection, model theft, data poisoning, and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs).
• Demonstrated experience authoring threat models, enterprise security standards, and secure reference architectures for complex, distributed applications.
• Ability to solve high-impact architectural challenges through systemic thinking, creative problem-solving, and cross-team consensus.
• Ability to influence senior technical leaders and drive strategic security adoption across business units through executive-level communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recognized industry credentials in architecture or security (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF, CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP) alongside demonstrated hands-on experience with AI/ML systems.
• Deep expertise in regulatory compliance, confidential computing, differential privacy, and data protection regulations (e.g., PII handling in AI models).
• Experience leading AI security transformation or building zero-trust AI platforms within a high-growth tech company, large-scale e-commerce ecosystem, or global cloud environment.

Document Return Policy

1. This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
2. A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.
3. A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email (recruitingops@coupang.com). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
4. In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
5. The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
