Role Overview

Provides comprehensive legal advice and guidance to organizations on all legal matters affecting business operations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. They serve as internal legal advisors who protect the organization's legal interests and minimize legal risks. Responsibilities include advising executive members and management on legal implications of business decisions, drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring legal compliance across all business operations, managing litigation and working with external counsel when necessary, protecting intellectual property rights including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and handling regulatory filings and statutory requirements. They collaborate with various departments to provide legal guidance on operational matters, review business strategies for potential legal issues, negotiate settlement terms when disputes arise, and maintain knowledge of changing laws and regulations that impact the business. Daily tasks involve reviewing contracts and legal documents, providing legal consultation to business stakeholders, managing litigation matters, conducting legal research, preparing legal memoranda and reports, communicating with external counsel and regulatory agencies, and ensuring proper documentation of all legal matters. Legal Counsel also develop legal strategies for business initiatives, manage legal budgets, and serve as the organization's representative in legal proceedings.
