Building Research Practice Questions

Focuses on how a candidate has created, scaled, and elevated a research function within an organization and contributed to research thought leadership externally. Topics include implementing and standardizing research methodologies, creating reproducible research infrastructure and tooling, establishing processes and governance for study design and insights synthesis, building frameworks and templates for analysis, hiring and mentoring researchers, measuring research impact, and embedding research into product and business decision making. Also covers external contributions that demonstrate thought leadership in research such as publications, conference presentations, open source research tools, community engagement, and advocacy for research best practices. Candidates should be ready to provide concrete examples of initiatives they led, metrics of improvement, cross functional influence, and how their work enabled others and improved research quality.
