Situation: We shipped an asset-optimization change (minification, code-splitting, cache headers, image compression) intended to reduce page load time.

Metrics / telemetry to examine:- Core Web Vitals (RUM): First Contentful Paint (FCP), Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID) / Interaction to Next Paint (INP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).- Time to Interactive (TTI), Total Blocking Time (TBT).- Network-level: Time to First Byte (TTFB), DNS/Connect/SSL, resource load times, number of requests, transferred bytes, gzip/brotli effectiveness, cache-hit ratio, CDN latency.- Business & UX signals: bounce rate, session duration, page views per session, conversion events (sign-ups, purchases), error rates (JS exceptions, 4xx/5xx).- Segment-level breakdowns: mobile vs desktop, device models, geographic regions, connection types (3G/4G/Wi‑Fi), first-time vs returning users, browsers.- Synthetic / lab tests: Lighthouse scores, WebPageTest waterfalls for representative pages.

Monitor sample sizes and compute confidence intervals for key metrics.

Analysis & presentation to product:- Create an executive summary: headline change (e.g., "LCP reduced 800ms on mobile; conversion +3% for experiment group").- Show a dashboard with before/after and control vs experiment time series for core metrics, including percent change and 95% CI.- Include segmented charts (mobile/desktop, slow connections) and waterfall examples showing which assets improved.- Highlight business impact estimates: conversion lift, reduced bounce, estimated revenue or engagement delta.- Call out trade-offs and risks (e.g., caching TTLs, potential for stale assets, increased build complexity).- Recommend next steps: fully roll out if positive, rollback or iteratively fix if regressions, and tracking plan for long-term monitoring.
