• Class B: DACI (Driver = SA, Approver = Engineering Manager/Prod Lead, Contributors = SMEs, Informed = stakeholders). Ensures inclusion but preserves a decider.
• Class A: Council/Committee with clear sponsor (CTO or Head Architect). Decision requires formal review, risk/ROI analysis, and exec sign-off.

Consensus & thresholds:

• Class C: Informal consensus; Driver decides if no objections within 48 hours.
• Class B: Target >=70% support among affected teams; timebox discussion to 5 business days; Approver breaks ties.
• Class A: Target unanimous support from council or documented mitigation plan; if stalemate, sponsor decides after 2-week review.

Recording decisions and dissent:

• Use Architecture Decision Records (ADR) template stored in central repo and surfaced in solution docs. Each ADR includes: decision, alternatives considered, impact, rollback plan, affected services, vote tally, and named dissenters with rationale.

Facilitation approach:

• Run a 2-hour evidence-only workshop with Engineering Leads, Sales Rep(s), Product, and Support. Use a shared decision matrix scoring (cost, revenue, time-to-market, strategic fit, risk).
