Role OverviewWe are seeking a Sales Manager (m/f/d) Navigation & Automation to join our team in Rotterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across New Builds, Upgrades, Retrofits, and After Sales solutions within Navigation & Automation across the Netherlands, UK, and wider Europe.
You will manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order handover, leveraging your technical understanding of NACOS Platinum and legacy systems, as well as your knowledge of the maritime market. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence and strengthening customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and develop sales opportunities within the assigned region
- Manage the full sales process from inquiry to order handover
- Achieve order intake targets, including profitability and margin objectives
- Grow market share across the Navigation & Automation product portfolio
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting through CRM tools
- Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction through proactive communication
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as shipowners, shipyards, consultants, and agents
- Ensure contract quality and compliance with legal and commercial requirements
- Support customer communication during project execution in cooperation with internal teams
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent is an advantage)
- Strong experience in maritime sales, particularly within automation and navigation solutions
- Solid network and understanding of key stakeholders in the marine industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Experience working in international and multicultural environments
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel frequently within Europe
