We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a GI & Health Actuarial Specialist

In this role you will:

Deliver actuarial BAU tasks across GI and Health, including IFRS 17 reporting, quarterly reserving, regulatory/statutory reporting, and forecasting/business planning activities under local and Group requirements.
Prepare, transform, validate and investigate data used for actuarial analysis and financial reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, well-controlled, and delivered on time.
Produce and explain reserving/IFRS 17 results, movements, reconciliations, key drivers and sensitivities, with clear commentary suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support the setting, review and monitoring of actuarial assumptions (including annual assumption studies and ongoing experience monitoring) for reserving and planning cycles.
Strengthen governance by maintaining robust documentation, methodologies and audit trails, and by improving controls around data and reporting processes.
Partner with Business, Reinsurance, Finance and other Actuarial teams to enhance tools, drive automation/process improvements, and embed the actuarial control cycle across GI & Health (linking reserving, reporting and pricing feedback loops)

To be successful you will need:

0–3 years of relevant experience in GI and/or Health insurance.
Strong technical capability in Python for data management, analysis and automation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and control.
Strong communication and presentation skills, able to translate technical results into clear messages for a range of stakeholders.
Proactive, independent self-starter with solid time management, comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and tight reporting deadlines.
Collaborative and personable, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence outcomes positively.
