The Program Manager serves as an Internal Consulting Group leader and as an internal consultant to Novant Health leadership and staff on large complex system level initiatives. The primary focus of the Program Manager is to provide partnership and facilitation to leaders and teams in strategic planning, project/program execution, and/or design or re-design of high priority system-wide Novant Health processes and service offerings. The Program Manager is expected to pursue her/his/their work with a high level of energy and steadfastly push self and others for results while supporting the organization in education, application of tools, methods, data collection, analysis, project facilitation, project management, mentoring and coaching junior consultants, and general leadership development in areas related to change management. As a leader within the Internal Consulting Group, the Program Manager is expected to provide leadership and primary support to system level initiatives autonomously with limited support and guidance from Internal Consulting leadership, while demonstrating the ability to mentor and lead junior consultants.
Responsibilities:
• Serves as an internal consultant on strategic planning, execution, and/or performance improvement initiatives:
○ Demonstrates dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal customers; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in designing and redesigning the most Remarkable Patient Experience in every dimension, every time and to achieve the organization’s strategic plan.
○ Understands and communicates a compelling and inspired vision or sense of core purpose; talks beyond today; makes the vision shareable by everyone and in all settings. Exhibits a keen sense about managing the creative process of others; is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to market; has good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work.
○ Expert with established processes and standard work protocol with little to no rework; is tolerant with people and processes; sensitive to due process and proper pacing. Spends his/her time and the time of others on what’s important; quickly zeros in on the critical few and puts the trivial many aside; can quickly sense what will help or hinder accomplishing a goal
○ Probes all viable sources for answers; can see opportunities for synergy and integration where others cannot; can simplify complex processes.

Requirements
• 4 year Bachelors Degree
• Minimum of 8 years extensive experience independently managing or leading projects with complex interdependencies in a consulting, planning, analytics, leadership, or performance improvement role
