About You
This role sits at the centre of how RMIT manages its alumni and donor information, making sure the system and information behind these relationships is accurate, reliable, and working as it should. As the Raiser’s Edge specialist, you will lead in maximising the capabilities of the platform that supports fundraising and engagement activity, ensuring data is well structured, up to date, and easy for teams to use. You will work closely with other systems and data specialists, fundraisers and engagement staff to help them find the right information, build targeted data segments, and use the system effectively in their day-to-day work.
This is a hands-on systems administration role that combines platform management, data quality oversight, and user support. You will monitor and improve data accuracy, manage imports and exports, apply system rules and updates, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. You will also provide guidance and training to users, helping lift capability across the team. As the function continues to grow, you will play a key role in strengthening processes, improving consistency, and ensuring the CRM remains a trusted source of truth for decision making, engagement and fundraising outcomes.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Experience successfully developing and delivering CRM (preferably Raiser’s Edge or similar) capabilities to achieve strategic objectives and operational plans within a best practice environment.
Proven track record working effectively with customer service, sales and marketing teams focused on fundraising, external engagement and other cross-functional teams and delivering high level services aligned with their goals.
Extensive experience in project management, systems development, data analytics and developing reports to inform decision making.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and the capacity to develop creative solutions to technical and business problems.
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyse business requirements from a range of clients and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretionary judgment, assess priorities and manage workloads while maintaining accuracy.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
