Description

The Consumer Sales Coach (CSC) will directly coach branch teammates in their assigned territory to ensure effective execution of sales strategies and tactics which will lift overall performance. The CSC will collaborate with the Consumer Sales Leader and Market Leader to build branch sales coaching plans implemented via in-person coaching to branch teammates followed by timely feedback to Market Leader and Consumer Sales Leader on performance, sales activities. CSC is responsible for improving CRM utilization and productivity within their territory.

Position Accountabilities

  • Travel weekly to branches to observe sales activities and coach branch teammates on sales activities and behaviors, leveraging the Sales & Service Playbook.
  • Drive the adoption and effective execution of GUIDE consultative sales model and usage of Salesforce CRM.
  • Document observational coaching and role play outcomes in learning platform.
  • Monitor sales reporting to identify gaps/opportunities and regularly collaborate with Market Leader to determine the coaching plan and calendar.
  • Regularly debrief coaching outcomes with Market Leader and other Consumer Banking leaders, sharing feedback on any opportunities uncovered for training, reporting, or other sales performance-related topics.
  • Support effective onboarding of new teammates and continuing education of existing teammates through targeted sales coaching.
  • Conduct in-market visits with CSL and MLs to role model best in class routines/behaviors and provide sales coaching to improve skill set.
  • Collaborate with Workplace Solutions Relationship Manager to ensure designated Branch Champions are effectively executing the activities which add value to participating businesses and earn new consumer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Consumer Sales Leader and Regional Presidents to create key performance indicators to measure success of coaching on an individual and branch level.
  • Ensure compliant sales practices and risk management through observational coaching.

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Three or more years’ retail banking experience required
  • Previous lending experience required
  • Three or more years of management experience in a sales environment preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to travel based on business need
  • Excellent client service skills and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proactively builds trusted relationships with key partners/clients
  • Ability to be a change agent and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in executing and coaching a consultative sales model
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM and bank analytics, with the capability to utilize these resources effectively for the coaching and development of team members
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound business judgment
  • Flexible, able to adapt to change

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
