Description
Job Description:
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including financial statements, reports, and schedules.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle taxation matters, including the preparation and filing of SST returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Provide support during external audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
- Stay updated with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven working experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar accounting role and in manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Experience in handling full sets of accounts is essential.
- Previous exposure to the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
