Regulatory Compliance & Airfield Systems Assurance
Ensure all airfield electrical systems (including AGL and associated infrastructure) are maintained in full compliance with EASA, ICAO Annex 14, NSAI standards, and Aerodrome Manuals, supporting audits and regulatory assurance.
Maintenance Delivery & Operational Continuity
Lead the execution of planned, reactive, and emergency maintenance across airfield and landside electrical assets, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted 24/7 operations.
Work Planning, Resource & Performance Management
Optimise workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation in collaboration with technical and planning teams; drive productivity, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency across technician teams.
Leadership, People Management & Capability Development
Provide strong leadership to Technician Team Leads and the Electrical Systems Engineer; manage performance, attendance, and development while embedding a high-performance, accountable culture.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety requirements, RAMS, and Safe Work Procedures; lead incident management, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Asset Management, Systems Monitoring & Data Integrity
Ensure effective use of CMMS (Maximo/MAS), SCADA, and monitoring systems to maintain accurate asset data, track performance, support decision-making, and ensure asset reliability.
Financial & Contractor Management
Manage electrical Opex budgets and oversee specialist contractors, ensuring delivery against contractual requirements, cost control, and value for money in maintenance services.
Stakeholder Collaboration, Projects & Operational Support
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders (IAA, ATC, engineering, project teams) to support operations, integrate new assets, contribute to projects, and provide technical expertise during normal and emergency scenarios (e.g., aircraft recovery, winter operations).
Qualifications & Experience
Engineering degree (or equivalent) with a strong background in electrical engineering and electrical systems management.

- Hold a relevant electrical trade apprenticeship and appropriate trade courses and certificates and examinations.
- +6 years’ experience working as a fully qualified electrician or electrical engineer within a complex operational environment.
- 2+ years experience acting in a Supervisor/Manager capacity
- Have a good knowledge of electrical systems design, operation, and maintenance.
- Competent in IT skills for the efficient operation of computerised maintenance-based recording systems and Microsoft office applications and similar IT systems and software.
- Experience with airfield electrical systems, including AGL series circuits (CCRs) or similar high-reliability electrical infrastructure desirable
- Working knowledge of PLC control systems and SCADA-based monitoring and control environments desirable

- Strong commitment to health & safety, with the ability to work safely and effectively under pressure in a safety-critical environment
- Effective communication skills, particularly in coordination with operational stakeholders such as Air Traffic Control
- Ability to safely use electrical, hand, and power tools with relevant practical experience
- Technically adaptable, with the ability to learn and adopt new systems and technologies
- High levels of initiative, problem-solving ability, and resourcefulness to deliver work efficiently
- Full clean drivers license
