Job Summary
The Business Development Executive – Digital Focus (Oncology) will lead digital-driven revenue growth strategies for a specialized oncology and cancer care center. The role is responsible for leveraging digital platforms, health technology solutions, and data analytics to increase oncology patient acquisition, improve treatment conversion rates, strengthen corporate and HMO partnerships, and expand the centers digital presence.
The ideal candidate must possess strong digital marketing expertise, knowledge of oncology service structures (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, infusion therapy, diagnostics, cancer screening), and strategic commercial capability within Nigerias healthcare ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oncology Digital Growth Strategy
Develop and execute digital business development strategies aligned with oncology service line growth objectives.
Identify revenue opportunities through:
Online oncology consultations
Tele-oncology services
Digital chemotherapy and radiotherapy bookings
Online cancer screening campaigns
Health-tech collaborations
Drive digital campaigns targeted at HMOs, corporate organizations, and high-risk patient demographics.
Position the oncology center as a leading digital cancer care provider in Nigeria.
2. Online Oncology Patient Acquisition & Conversion
Optimize digital channels (website, SEO, paid advertising, social media, email automation) with oncology-focused messaging.
Improve the patient journey from:
Online cancer inquiry
Virtual consultation
Diagnostic confirmation
Treatment initiation
Monitor digital funnel metrics such as:
Oncology consultation conversion rate
Cost per oncology patient acquisition
Treatment uptake rate
Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless integration between online booking platforms and EMR systems.
Ensure digital pathways support sensitive oncology patient engagement.
3. Oncology Data Analytics & Performance Reporting
Analyze digital traffic, campaign ROI, oncology patient behavior trends, and treatment cycle data.
Develop monthly dashboards tracking oncology-specific KPIs.
Provide executive insights on:
Revenue per oncology patient
Service line utilization
Treatment completion rates
Digital revenue contribution
Use predictive analytics to forecast demand for chemotherapy sessions, radiotherapy cycles, and cancer screening programs.
4. Corporate & Digital Health Partnerships (Oncology Focus)
Build partnerships with digital health platforms, oncology referral networks, insurance providers, and international health facilitators.
Negotiate digital oncology service-level agreements (SLAs).
Expand the centers presence on oncology directories, telemedicine platforms, and international referral portals.
Support digital outreach programs for corporate cancer screening and preventive oncology services.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Ethical Standards
Ensure all oncology digital campaigns comply with:
Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) guidelines
Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) standards
Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA)
Ethical standards governing oncology marketing and patient communication
Maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity in handling oncology patient data and communications.
6. Brand Positioning & Oncology Market Intelligence
Conduct digital competitor analysis within Nigerias oncology and specialty care market.
Strengthen brand visibility in:
Oncology diagnostics
Chemotherapy and radiotherapy services
Precision medicine
Corporate cancer screening programs
Identify digital service gaps and recommend new oncology-focused digital offerings.
Monitor global oncology digital trends and adapt relevant innovations locally.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Healthcare Management, or related field.
MBA or professional certification in Digital Marketing, Health Informatics, or Data Analytics is an advantage.
5–7 years progressive experience in business development or digital marketing, preferably within oncology, hospital, diagnostics, or specialty healthcare.
Strong knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and healthcare EMR integrations.
Proven track record of driving healthcare revenue growth through digital channels.
Strong understanding of Nigerian HMOs, corporate retainership structures, and oncology referral systems.
