Description

Manufacturing Controller

New opening with a Global, Publicly Traded Manufacturing & Distribution company overseeing all financial operations including general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial statement preparation, operational accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management), as well as Cost Accounting / Inventory.

This position will lead a team of 5, and will have direct exposure to the C-Level Executive team. If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership of a function, and help grow / develop a team, this could be a great opportunity!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations and reporting
  • Responsible for all Cost Accounting / Inventory, including coordination with external auditors
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
  • Manage the general ledger accounting and ensure accurate and timely financial statements
  • Responsible for oversight of all accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit, and collections
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and accounting standards, regulations, and laws
  • Manage monthly and year-end closing of the books in a timely matter
  • Research accounting issues for compliance
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Management of the ERP system (upgrades, reporting, implementations / integrations)
  • Ad hoc projects as they arise

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing / Tangible Product Industry highly preferred
  • CPA highly preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • Experience managing all aspects of Accounting & Finance, including accounting operations, benefits, payroll, and partnering with CPA firm for taxes
  • Ability to be a strategic business partner to leadership
