Systems Engineer Principal

Position Overview:

Crossflow Technologies Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer Principal located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), to support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Common Services (CS). ERP Common Services is responsible for establishing, integrating, and sustaining common engineered infrastructure and services capabilities across the Air Force's ERP applications. ERP CS supports the deployment of the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AFIPPS-ACAT I), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS-ACAT I) and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROi-BCAT II). This position supports GBE

Required Qualifications:

-Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications.

-The Systems Engineer Principal shall have responsibilities to perform the following: Conduct reviews on program documentation to:

-Evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans,

-Improve systems engineering programs/processes,

-Manage/sustain program technical baseline, and

-Design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance 'is achieved in accordance with approved specifications.

-Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications.

-Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics.

-Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles.

-Perform validation of systems including development of criteria and procedures.

-Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems; and,

Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.

Job Requirements/Qualification:

-Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 5 years of experience, 3 of which must be in the DoW; or,

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 7 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 4 of which must be in the DoW; or,

15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoW

-Minimum 3 yrs, experience developing, deploying, or maintaining operational cloud (Oracle, AWS and/or Azure) environments with an emphasis on federal or DoW systems (GovCloud, Cloud One)

Cloud Certification preferred,

-CompTIA Security + Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

-Cloud experience (OCI)

-Atlassian Tool suite

-Agile Development methodologies

-ServiceNow

CROSSFLOW KUDOS SPOT BONUS PROGRAM

We created a unique performance bonus program called Crossflow Kudos. 401(k) RETIREMENT PLAN & COMPANY MATCHING

Crossflow uses Principal as our 401(k) plan sponsor. Employees can choose payroll deduction and fund investing options. Payroll deductions will begin the month following your enrollment. Crossflow matches 100% of the first 3% of compensation, plus 50% of the next 2% of compensation.

GENEROUS PTO ACCRUAL & FLEXIBLE LEAVE POLICY

Crossflow currently grants 11 federally observed paid holidays. In addition to these holidays, Crossflow offers a minimum of 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) to all full-time employees. Employees may utilize PTO for any reason (sickness, vacation, personal day, etc.) and can carry over a maximum of 120 hours from year to year. Many employees are authorized to work additional hours within a normal, forty-hour pay period. This approval is included in the employee's offer letter for employment. These extra hours may be banked for compensatory (comp) time off.

PAID PARENTAL & BEREAVEMENT LEAVE

To help our employees be present with family during major life events, Crossflow provides additional PTO. We offer varying types of paid Parental Leave to aid birthing, non-birthing, and adoptive parents transition into parenthood.
