As our office in Barcelona is growing at a rapid pace and we have a pipeline of interesting projects, we are looking for a Project Delivery Manager that will collaborate closely with management and the project team to ensure all project stages are set up and managed effectively, supporting delivery aligned with BIG’s high standards.

As our office in Barcelona is growing at a rapid pace and we have a pipeline of interesting projects, we are looking for a Project Delivery Manager that will collaborate closely with management and the project team to ensure all project stages are set up and managed effectively, supporting delivery aligned with BIG’s high standards.
Your main responsibility will be (not limited to):
- Lead project/stage set up activities.
- Proactively liaise with the project teams to establish the program and contractual & deliverable obligations.
- Liaise with the project teams to resolve contractual issues proactively.
- Monitor all management task to make sure that they are delivered aligned with standards and best practices.
- Prepare, update and communicate key documents including, project plans, detailed design programs, change control processes and design risk registers.
- Liaise with clients when required to drive discussions to resolution.
- Liaise with the project team to submit monthly reports.
- Be in charge of producing weekly dashboard to keep the client informed about activities on consultant side.
- Support the design team in the administration and management of the project.
- Arranging and chairing meetings, preparing agendas, and writing minutes.
- Reporting to the Partner-in-Charge on design aspects and to the Managing Director on operations, risk management, contractual, and others matters.
- Strategically design timelines and work-plans.
- Proactively deal with risk assessment and management.
- To support, advise, direct and educate all design processes from a technical and buildability perspective.
- To support the project team to develop compelling creative design scenarios.
- Contribute as required to the Design Reviews.
- Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.
- Providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to help resolve complex technical and design challenges.
- Defending BIG’s design intent throughout all phases.
- Liaison with Client & Consultant team.
- Production of management documents.
- A professional degree in architecture and +8 years professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar management role.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and budget own time.
- Willingness to take on constructive guidance in response to direction from managers.
