Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the SUPPORT SERVICES-SME Credit department. The role involves analyzing credit data, assessing risks, and providing recommendations to support the bank's SME lending operations.
As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating credit applications and managing the credit portfolio for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Your expertise will contribute to the bank's growth and success in the SME lending market. - Conduct thorough credit analysis and evaluation of SME loan applications.
- Assess creditworthiness, financial health, and risk profiles of prospective borrowers.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for loan approvals.
- Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, ensuring timely repayments and identifying potential risks.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and underwriters to structure and approve SME loans.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting SME lending.
- Provide support and guidance to relationship managers in credit-related queries and decisions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all credit-related activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures for SME lending.
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance credit analysis skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis or a similar role, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for evaluating financial statements and credit data.
- Proficiency in using credit analysis tools and software, including credit scoring models.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of SME lending practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Familiarity with credit risk management frameworks and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
