Position: Strategic Partnerships Manager


Reports To: Chief Program Officer (in partnership with Executive Director)

Position Summary

The Strategic Partnerships Manager at 211 LA develops and manages strategic relationships that advance the organization's mission, community impact, and systems change efforts. This position serves as a key liaison between 211 LA and external stakeholders, including nonprofit organizations, government agencies, healthcare partners, funders, and community-based organizations.

Working closely with the Chief Program Officer, Executive Director, and senior leadership team, the Strategic Partnerships Manager leads coalition-building efforts, facilitates collaborative networks, strengthens community partnerships, and supports initiatives that improve service coordination and outcomes for vulnerable populations throughout Los Angeles County.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Strategic Partnerships & Network Development

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, government agencies, healthcare organizations, funders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent 211 LA in coalitions, workgroups, community meetings, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen cross-sector collaboration, resource sharing, and coordinated service delivery.
  • Support partnership agreements, collaborative projects, and stakeholder engagement efforts.

Crisis Care Plan Alliance (CCPA)

  • Work with the Chief Program Officer and Executive Director to recruit, onboard, and engage members of the Crisis Care Plan Alliance (CCPA).
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, communications, and collaborative planning activities.
  • Strengthen partnerships that support disaster preparedness, coordinated response, rapid activation, and long-term recovery efforts.
  • Track participation and outcomes and provide updates to leadership.

Social Connections Partnership (SCP) Network

  • Facilitate and support the Social Connections Partnership (SCP) Network, a community of practice for nonprofit organizations.
  • Coordinate meetings, training, and peer-learning opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration, information sharing, and collective impact among participating organizations.

Community Information Exchange (CIE) & Systems Collaboration

  • Promote Community Information Exchange (CIE) and coordinated care approaches among community partners.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen closed-loop referrals, care coordination, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Participate in local and regional efforts focused on systems transformation and social determinants of health.

Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Lead community engagement activities that strengthen 211 LA’s visibility and partnerships.
  • Coordinate and participate in outreach events, conferences, workshops, and stakeholder convenings.
  • Represent 211 LA at public events and community forums.
  • Support outreach and communication efforts that increase awareness of 211 LA services and initiatives.

Project Management & Strategic Support

  • Manage partnership-related projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, and performance measures.
  • Monitor progress and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Conduct research to identify partnership opportunities, community needs, and emerging trends.
  • Support grant development, strategic planning, and Board presentations as assigned.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication with leadership, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, materials, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain partnership records, engagement data, and reporting systems.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative organizational culture.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the agency’s mission and values.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network development, partner engagement, program management, strategic planning, or systems-level work in a nonprofit, public health, or social services environment.
  • Strong understanding of information and referral systems or social service delivery models.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary $75,000
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement plan, generous paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, exempt. Some evening or weekend work may be required.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Remote, with occasional in-person meetings in LA County.
  • Standard office environment with prolonged computer use.
  • Occasional travel to community sites, partner locations, or conferences.
