Youth Programming Coordinator
We are seeking a team player to coordinate activities to inspire and empower middle and high school-aged youth to make healthy choices and to be change-makers for reducing substance misuse and improving health and wellness in their community. We want a self-motivated individual who is good at building relationships with youth and fosters collaboration with other partners.
This position will teach both content and skill development to support teens to use their voice to encourage healthy choices both within school settings and as part of afterschool clubs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for project design using the One Voice Youth Empowerment (OVYE) Model and other evidence-based youth engagement models and ensuring fidelity to the models. Primarily works with adolescents involved in our youth prevention group at Burlington High school and Hunt and Edmunds middle schools and is a primary contact for communication between the coalition and Burlington School District prevention staff and other youth serving organizations in the area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable relevant experience
- Experience working with adolescent youth in a professional setting
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement events and projects
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Adapts easily to and can communicate through a variety of technology, including social media

Benefits:
Full-time position with a flexible schedule and an opportunity for some remote hours
Salary: $21.00-$24.00/hr. based on qualifications and experience
