DESCRIPTION:
As an IT Project Manager III within the LATAM IT Demand & Delivery organization, you will lead medium to large-scale technology initiatives that drive business transformation across Latin America. Partnering with Business Relationship Managers, Functional PMOs, Business Sponsors, Solution Architects, Vendors, and Support teams, you will deliver projects that align with Thermo Fisher's strategic priorities and enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
You will join initiatives early—during the business case and demand shaping phase—to assess feasibility, effort, timelines, risks, and cost estimates. Once approved, you will take end-to-end ownership from project mobilization through execution, governance, hypercare, and transition to support.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects through full lifecycle
• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• Proven track record managing medium to large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
• Experience delivering projects across enterprise environments including applications, infrastructure, digital, commercial, operations, finance, and corporate functions
• PMP certification preferred
• Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe) highly desired
• Expertise in project scope, timeline, budget, and resource management
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, SAFe)
• Proficiency with project management tools (Planview, JIRA, Microsoft Project, Azure Devops)
• Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and quality management systems
• Demonstrated ability to guide and collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
• Experience in stakeholder management and executive-level communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
• Consistent record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Experience with enterprise software implementations and integrations
• Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
• Proven ability to drive accountability and results across diverse, cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Experience with regulatory compliance (GxP, ISO) preferred
• Up to 10% travel may be required
