Description

Tri-State Forest Products is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the role of Help Desk. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong technical skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of staff.

Responsibilities:

    • Receive and respond to user inquiries and requests via telephone, email, case tracking system professionally and with speed, accuracy and proficiency.
    • Solve technical problems by providing guidance about software and hardware problems.
    • Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for handling support cases.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional conduct and a strong understanding of the needs of the customers served.
    • Keep users informed about their incident status at agreed intervals.
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective customer service.

Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical help desk position.
    • In-depth knowledge of computer systems and IT components.
    • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications.
    • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of help desk software and databases.
    • Ability to work on call and cope with stress and rigors of a fast-paced work environment.
    • Background in IT or computer systems
