Description

We are looking for an Software Development Engineer in Test who is passionate about quality to join the Oracle Health Gen2 Patient Portal System Testing Team. This role will focus on improving product quality through defining system test strategy, web and mobile test automation, API validation, CI/CD integration, and reliable testing of patient-facing workflows, developing required tooling.


Required Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in frontend and backend application development with a strong focus on software quality and test automation.
  • Experience leveraging AI to build, maintain, and execute automated test suites.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Chai, or equivalent technologies.
  • Deep expertise in system-level validation, including End-to-End (E2E), Zero Downtime Deployment (ZDT), upgrade, integration, regression, and compatibility testing.
  • Experience defining and driving performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability testing strategies using industry-standard tools.
  • Strong experience building and testing applications in cloud-native environments, with a solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and quality gates, with experience integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript with the ability to build reusable automation libraries and testing utilities.
  • Experience testing and developing backend services using REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
  • Proficiency with distributed version control systems such as Git and modern development workflows.
  • Experience working with container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring tools to support production quality validation is desirable.
  • Healthcare/EHR domain knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Stay abreast of emerging testing methodologies and contribute to the organization's technical roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web, mobile, and API workflows.

  • Work closely with development, product, and UX teams to define quality criteria.

  • Validate end-to-end Patient Portal experiences across browsers, devices, iOS, and Android.

  • Create and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and release-readiness tests.

  • Identify, debug, and clearly document defects with reproducible steps.

  • Develop AI skills and other tooling required for the testing.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyze automation results.

  • Contribute to testing strategies for AI-enabled features where outputs may be non-determined

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
