Description

ABOUT IPME CORP.

IPME Corp. is a nationwide industrial electrical contractor and licensed engineering firm operating in over 40 U.S. jurisdictions. We specialize in the installation, relocation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex industrial electrical systems across food & beverage, automotive, material handling, and building materials sectors.

Registered with ISNetworld and Avetta and carrying an industry-leading EMR, IPME is built on precision, safety, and performance. Based in Cartersville, GA, this role puts you at the center of IPME's field operations — leading high-stakes projects from mobilization through closeout in environments where execution excellence is non-negotiable.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Project Manager to own the full project lifecycle for complex, large-scale electrical installations across the United States. This is not a desk job — you will be on site, leading crews, interfacing with owners and GCs, and driving projects to safe, on-time, code-compliant completion. You will be expected to bring leadership, technical depth, and a calm presence under pressure on high-profile, high-risk assignments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end project management for industrial electrical installations including MV/LV power distribution, industrial controls, PLC systems, and network infrastructure
  • Serve as primary point of contact for owners, GCs, engineers, and AHJs throughout project execution
  • Manage site crews, subcontractors, and self-perform labor across simultaneous project sites
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with NEC, OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and applicable IEC and ANSI standards
  • Conduct and lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety briefings, and enforcement of LOTO and arc flash protocols on high-energy systems
  • Coordinate startup, commissioning, and acceptance testing activities with engineers and equipment OEMs
  • Manage ISNetworld / Avetta compliance documentation and client safety prequalification requirements
  • Provide field-level technical direction and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians
  • Collaborate with the estimating team on project scoping, change management, and lessons learned
  • Travel up to 75% of the time nationally; manage extended mobilizations as projects require

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management experience in industrial electrical contracting — not commercial or residential
  • Demonstrated command of the National Electrical Code (NEC / NFPA 70) and its application in industrial environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 & 1926 General Industry and Construction safety standards
  • Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, motor controls (MCC), and industrial network infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage multi-trade crews and concurrent projects in high-pressure environments
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools: scheduling software, RFI/submittal tracking, budget management
  • OSHA 30 Construction or General Industry certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license; ability to obtain access credentials for food & beverage, automotive, and logistics facilities
  • Comfort operating in confined spaces, at heights, and in energized electrical environments per NFPA 70E

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (any jurisdiction) strongly preferred
  • Experience with ISNetworld, Avetta, or similar contractor safety management platforms
  • Familiarity with IEC, TIA, ANSI standards and international equipment commissioning
  • Prior project management in food & beverage, automotive assembly, or cold storage / warehouse environments
  • NFPA 70E or Arc Flash Awareness certification
  • Experience with equipment relocation, rigging coordination, and recommissioning projects
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and licensure
  • Per diem and full travel expense coverage for all field
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Access to high-complexity, high-visibility projects across the United States
  • A lean, expert team where your decisions carry weight and your voice is heard
  • Opportunity to grow with a company expanding its national footprint rapidly
