About You and This Role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Specialist in the Architectural Coatings Segment in Dow Coating Materials. This role can be located in Collegeville (PA) or Midland (MI). Within the Architectural Coatings business, you will own the Promotion and Channel strategies for the US/CAN region, with a continued focus on driving digital growth.

Operating on a 0–2 year horizon, you will be responsible for converting segment strategy into clear execution plans and delivering results through disciplined implementation. Success will require strong cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Product, Technical, Communications, and other key partners.

Responsibilities

Promotion

  • Lead development and execution of integrated promotion strategies in close collaboration with Marketing, TS&D, and Communications.
  • Deliver compelling, differentiated value propositions and messaging aligned to customer “jobs to be done” across the Architectural Coatings market.
  • Drive effective deployment across digital and traditional channels to maximize reach, engagement, and demand generation.

Channel (Place) Strategy

  • Support and help shape the channel strategy, with a focus on optimizing distributor partnerships.
  • Ensure strong communication, enablement, and support tools are in place to drive channel effectiveness and growth.

Strategy Implementation

  • Partner closely with Strategic and Field Marketing Managers to translate segment strategy into actionable plans.
  • Execute key initiatives and establish feedback loops from customers and the market to continuously refine strategy.

Market Implementation Team (MIT) Leadership

  • Serve as a core member of the NAA Architectural Coatings Market Management Team (MMT).
  • Co-lead the Segment Market Implementation Team (MIT), delivering detailed, execution-ready implementation plans aligned to segment priorities.

Lead & Opportunity Management (L&OM)

  • Drive lead generation across digital and traditional channels to build a robust, high-quality pipeline.
  • Support opportunity pipeline management to ensure conversion and sustained growth for the segment.

Pricing

  • Contribute to value-based pricing strategies for existing and new products to optimize profitability and enable growth.
  • Build strong understanding of competitive dynamics, market pricing, and formulation value to support margin expansion and volume growth.

Product Prioritization

  • Partner with TS&D to prioritize and advance key portfolio projects, with emphasis on broad market opportunities.
  • Support planning, execution, and development of commercial-ready outputs and materials.

External Market Engagement

  • Build and expand relationships across the Architectural Coatings value chain to strengthen market insight and identify new opportunities.
  • Establish credibility as a go-to resource for Architectural Coatings market intelligence and trends within the organization.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military degree equivalence at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 40%.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Your Skills

  • Communication: Superior written and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with people whose first language is not English. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial information.
  • Prioritization: Self-starter, organized, highly motivated, and able to successfully prioritize.
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Interpersonal skills in multidisciplinary teams to be able to form good working relationships with internal and external contacts. Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
