Based at our headquarters in Basel, we are looking for a Junior Technical Support Specialist Acidulants to join our team on a temporary basis for two years.
This role is designed as a gateway into the organization, making it ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience who are eager to build a career in the food ingredients industry.

Role overview
This is a hands-on, operational role focused on technical support for food ingredients (non-IT), including their applications and specifications.
You will work closely with Sales, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Marketing, gaining broad exposure across the business. The role offers flexibility in scope, allowing responsibilities and development paths to evolve based on your strengths, interests, and experience.
What you will learn and experience
In this role, you will:
- Build strong knowledge of acidulants and their food & beverage applications
- Gain insight into manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks
- Develop experience in technical customer support and troubleshooting
- Learn how to manage technical documentation and compliance topics
- Work in a multidisciplinary and international environment
- Strengthen your communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Depending on your experience and development, your responsibilities may include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for technical inquiries
- Supporting customers with product applications, specifications, and basic troubleshooting
- Preparing and managing technical documentation (specifications, statements, compliance documents, customer-specific responses)
- Coordinating with Sales, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Marketing to ensure timely and accurate support
- Assisting in the resolution of technical issues and customer complaints
- Contributing to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and documentation
- Gradually taking ownership of selected topics, products, or customer accounts
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (non-IT)
- First experience in technical support, quality, or production is a plus
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with an operational mindset
- Customer-oriented with strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment
- Structured, pragmatic, and solution-driven approach
- Fluency in English is mandatory; German and/or French are strong assets
