Position Summary
The Senior Manager, International Hotel Development supports the growth of Marriott’s select service brands across the UK & Ireland, with a primary focus on midscale brands including Four Points Flex by Sheraton, StudioRes by Marriott, and Series by Marriott. The role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, coordinating deal processes, and driving projects from initial sourcing through to contract execution. The position requires a proactive, commercially driven individual who can effectively collaborate across teams and build strong external partnerships to deliver shareholder value.

Travel: Flexibility to travel across the UK & Ireland, sometimes at short notice
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, originate, and evaluate new hotel development opportunities (new build, conversion, and adaptive reuse) across the UK & Ireland.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, investors, developers, operators, and local authorities to drive brand adoption.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional deal processes including feasibility studies, site inspections, valuations, and contract negotiations.
- Conduct detailed analysis of potential projects and present recommendations to internal approval committees.
- Negotiate management, franchise, and related agreements with owners and stakeholders.
- Support brand awareness and market positioning of midscale brands across the UKI region.
- Represent Marriott at industry events and maintain a strong external presence in the hospitality development sector.
Candidate Profile – Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in real estate, hotel development, or related industries.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel advisory, development, or franchised transactions within the UKI.
- Experience working with hotel franchise or management deals is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of the UK & Ireland hotel market.
- Ability to manage multiple deals and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with high energy and initiative.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate in a small, diverse team.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK & Ireland, sometimes at short notice.
