TITLE: Senior Account Executive

REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President

STATUS: Salaried

LOCATION: Remote

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Account Executive develops and maintains relationships with customers and potential customers in the finance, banking, or credit industries at the regional and national level with the purpose of identifying their consumer information needs for processing applications for mortgages or other ancillary services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Prospect and develop new mortgage credit reporting business.
  • Spend a minimum of 75%+ of time prospecting for new business; 25% cross-selling and retention of marketing plan defined customer base.
  • Work closely with National Account Manager team(s) to provide support and strategy with customers as needed to support retention of business.
  • Record all daily activities in CRM (Salesforce); meeting / exceeding minimum monthly requirements.
  • Responsible for call preparation and strategizing prior to all meetings and virtual presentations.
  • Attend onsite meetings as required and as approved by leadership; travel up to 50% which may include day/overnight travel based on the territory managed.
  • Responsible for meeting minimum sales goals as defined by leadership.
  • Identify the needs of potential customers, and prepares and presents professional sales presentations to customers that reflect positive solutions to meet their needs.
  • Meet with the SVP on a regular basis to keep leadership informed of the status of customers, problems and/or products.
  • Stay informed of industry changes within the mortgage banking community and business in general, watching for potential prospects.
  • Provide input and recommendations SVP of new product and service ideas.
  • Assist, as needed, with the training of new account executives.
  • Assist, as needed, with sales presentations along with other account executives.
  • Participate in and/or co-ordinates tradeshow activities which may require overnight travel.
  • Attend team meetings and participates in conference calls. Communicate regularly with the sales team to discuss the status of new product development, data commitments, and technology changes as well as problems related to the operations area.
  • Call on existing customers, as needed, to provide sales support. Identifies additional needs for the customer and offers additional products and services. Work to resolves customer problems in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Keep leadership informed of competitors' activities, pricing and products by review of information from the customers and other sources.
  • Maintain positive client relations. Meet deadlines, responds to customer communication calls and emails expeditiously.
  • Consistently practice organized work habits - meet deadlines, is punctual and prepared for meetings and presentations.
  • Keep Sales leadership up to date on status of clients, competition, and problems or issues that will affect Factual Data.
  • Willingness to invest the time to learn and interact in the business.
  • Develop workable marketing plan and executes the plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in outside sales, preferably in sales to banking, finance, credit card vendors, etc.
  • 5+ years in selling services, concepts, &/or ideas, preferred.
  • Experience working in the banking, finance, credit card vendors, etc. is very beneficial in understanding how these businesses use consumer data for business decisions as well as their unmet needs. 5+ years is beneficial.
  • Must be available for normal working hours (8 am-5pm), as well as being available to attend after-hours networking functions and work extra hours if customer needs or workload requires.
  • Must have initiative, ability to organize own work, and be self-disciplined and motivated.
  • Must present a positive professional, business-like appearance and possess excellent effective oral and written communication skills. Being able to talk to the customer about business issues is key to success as well as being personable.
  • Must have reliable transportation for use in regional sales calls, and able to travel when applicable to other markets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the person in this position will be required to frequently communicate information so others will understand. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time and must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about the inside of an office. The person in this position may need to position self to maintain files in a cabinet and place computers under a desk or in a cabinet. This position requires ability to constantly observe typewritten text on a computer screen. The person in this role is required to operate a laptop and use a telephone regularly. The person in this position may be required to travel throughout the USA by automobile or airplane which may require overnight lodging.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the person in this role may be in a stationary position in an office setting and may be exposed to quiet to moderate noise level.
