Description
At DNV’s Artificial Intelligence Research Center in Shanghai, our research spans multiple domains, including IoT, computer vision, large language models, foundation models, generative AI, and AI agents. We are dedicated to advancing AI technologies that support real-world applications across various DNV business segments, including maritime, energy systems, digital assurance, and more.
As an Embodied AI Intern, you will join the research team supporting the development of high-quality datasets for AI model training and validation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participate in software development and system integration for quadruped robots (e.g., Unitree GO2) and robotic arms.
- Develop and test applications for smart glasses and related wearable devices.
- Support the setup and validation of simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim).
- Structured training and guidance from experienced data operations specialists and AI team members
- Hands-on experience with industry-scale data annotation workflows across maritime, energy, and digital assurance domains
- Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines, including quality control, labeling standards, and best practices
Internship Duration: 4-6 months
Availability: At least 3 working days per week
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python or C++, with good coding practices.
- Familiar with Linux development environment.
- Required to work onsite three days per week (Tuesday to Thursday).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in computer vision or deep learning (e.g., OpenCV, PyTorch).
- Hands-on experience with Unitree robots or other quadruped platforms.
- Experience in developing applications for smart glasses or robotic arms.
- Familiar with simulation platforms (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Unity).
