What you’ll do
This is an exciting opportunity to join the FH&B Space Planning team at a pivotal moment, as we deliver ambitious and impactful change across the estate.
The Delivery Manager for Space Planning will support the effective delivery of key store space initiatives across the M&S estate.
Supporting the Head of FH&B Store Space Planning by coordinating planning, activity, engaging stores, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring plans are executed effectively in store.
Passion and drive are key as the role is hands‑on and delivery focused, requiring time in stores. Strong organisation and clear communication skills are required to help land change effectively, consistently and with buy in from key parties.
- Deliver macro space projects and requests, consisting of planning, coordination and execution of agreed initiatives, including the RFID equipment tagging program.
- Lead RFID equipment tagging through to BAU, including overseeing the tagging of the store estate.
- Support the delivery of estate optimisation, ensuring layouts and space usage are executed to plan.
- Deliver store engagement through regular visits, driving high-quality execution, resolving issues, and acting as a trusted, practical partner to retail teams.
- Use performance insights, store feedback, and data to continuously improve delivery, processes, and future planning decisions.
- Champion ways of working that enhance efficiency, including digital tools, automation, and AI, while fostering strong collaboration, accountability, and high performance across teams.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
Experience supporting or delivering store‑based projects or initiatives, ideally in a retail or operational environment.
Comfortable working across multiple sites and spending time in store.
Demonstrates drive, ownership, resilience, and determination, with the ability to navigate complexity and cut through barriers.
Exposure to RFID, equipment rollouts or space planning is beneficial but not essential.
Well organised with strong attention to detail.
Confident and clear communicator, able to engage colleagues at all levels.
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint to a high standard
