Description
Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects through to completion. The position requires the project manager to coordinate people, process and technology to enable the delivery of projects on time, achieving the desired outcomes aligned to the project and business objectives.
In this role, the project manager works closely with key stakeholders (internal and external) developing and implementing a comprehensive program plan consisting of detailed level tasks, including developing a robust risk management plan, define and agree project scope and business outcomes, also being able to provide technical guidance and direction throughout the project cycle.
This role is critical, as the project manager acts as the liaison between internal Technology and Operations teams across Hong Kong and Australia, also working with external clients’ stakeholders. Excellent negotiation skill is required in order for requirements to be agreed amongst the stakeholders, aiming with an outcome of meaningful business and technical requirements confirmation from all parties, and solutioning these outcomes into required documentations.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Keeping abreast of market changes and best practices, adopting these strategic changes to gain efficiency for the Hong Kong business.
- Focus in management of project delivery, while adhering to project governance and change process to ensure proper documentations are captured for audit purposes.
Project Management
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all stakeholders and ensuring technical and operational feasibility.
- Adhere to project framework and governance, ensuring all required collaterals are properly documented.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project schedules, scopes and financial impacts.
- Manage stakeholders relationships including internal and external.
- Drive meaningful workshops to ensure all stakeholders will be aligned of the project outcomes.
- Hosting project working groups, and ensuring meeting decks and project collaterals are presented on time.
- Owner of project RAID log, CR log, and decision log, ensuring best practices are adhere to from project governance perspective.
People Leadership
- Lead business analysts to deliver project required collaterals. Ensuring high performance culture mindset is adhere to.
- Influence internal and external counterparts to achieve alignment in order to maximize project outcome, meeting business objectives.
Governance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with agreed processes / procedures, controls and address quality and assurance outcomes as required.
- Ensure total compliance with statutory regulations including the mitigation of operational risk through the effective use of the incident management framework.
- Foster a proactive risk and compliance culture within the team and ensure all risk and compliance reporting and assurance obligations are met on time.
- Maintain awareness of the regulatory changes which may impact the business.
- Ensuring adequate controls are in place, while solutioning outcomes.
