The Immunology portfolio is a top corporate priority and a key growth driver for the U.S. Market and our company.
We are currently recruiting for Director, IBD Field Strategy & Execution. As a key leader within the rapidly growing U.S. Immunology marketing team, this individual will play a pivotal role in enabling pre-launch, launch, and post-launch success by ensuring the field organization is prepared to execute with excellence in a highly dynamic environment.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for leading field strategy and execution across customer-facing teams to support key business objectives for our Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease Launches. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional collaboration and communication, and demonstrated ability to lead through complexity to meet timelines and deliver results.
This position will report to the Executive Director, IBD U.S. Commercial Lead and will lead field strategy and execution for our investigational phase 3 monoclonal antibody asset directed to tumor necrosis factor-like cytokine 1A (TL1A). This role will be based will be based in the Upper Gwynedd, PA office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead field strategy and execution, including readiness planning, to support successful UC/CD launches across all field facing roles
Drive seamless orchestration across field teams (Sales, Account Management, FRMs, Training) to enable optimal account management, performance, customer experience and compliance
Develop and lead a comprehensive field learning and upskilling strategy, in partnership with Learning & Development, including a longitudinal training plan that builds clinical expertise, executional capability, and maximizes field competency
Establish an execution effectiveness measurement plan to assess launch readiness and to track pre-launch/launch/post-launch progress
Incorporate field insights and data into decision-making by defining and tracking execution KPIs that continuously optimize performance through refinement of field strategy, training priorities, and execution plans
Lead marketing planning and delivery of field comms, launch meetings and National Sales Meetings, ensuring clear priorities and aligned messaging, proper attendance, and agenda
Lead routine cross-functional calls with leaders across Marketing and Sales to solicit feedback on resources and execution strategy and guidance
Provide informed points of view and proactively make recommendations for field execution, marketing communications, and innovative approaches to achieve business goals
Partner with multiple stakeholders including Sales, Operations, Learning & Development, Compliance, and Payer Marketing in strategic planning and execution of customer engagement and promotion
Partner with Product Marketing Owners to drive transparency, coordination, and prioritization across the team
Lead through influence and talent development, building a high-performing team (up to 2 direct reports) while modeling accountability, collaboration, compliance, and a growth mindset that delivers on launch execution excellence
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Required Experience and Skills
10+ years in marketing, sales, field leadership, and/or U.S. commercial roles
Launch experience with demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and drive execution in a dynamic environment
Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to meet timelines and deliver results
Strong verbal and written communication skills and executive presence
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing with and without direct authority
Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
Understanding of U.S. commercial and regulatory requirements
High compliance IQ
Growth mindset and ability to support agile ways of working, learning, and adoption
Preferred Experience and Skills
Sales leadership experience
Account Management (e.g. IAM) experience
Familiarity with agile model and capabilities
Experience supporting product launches, launch readiness, field training, field communications, or field execution planning
Immunology, IBD, specialty care, or other complex specialty market experience
Understanding of the health care ecosystem, market access environment, organized customer dynamics, and drivers of value in health care, ideally for infusion (Buy & Bill) and subcutaneous (Specialty Pharmacy) products

The salary range for this role is
$190,800.00 - $300,300.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
