Description

The Role: Senior Software Engineer 


Embedded within the Growth team, you will play a key role in building and scaling customer-facing products, from the public website to the member portal and mobile app.
You will contribute to high-impact initiatives that directly support business growth, while owning your developments end-to-end in a fast-moving, product-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build & Scale: Develop and maintain high-performance platforms supporting coworking and flex-space operations, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Architecture & Systems Design: Partner with Product and Digital teams to design robust, future-proof systems that reduce technical debt and eliminate data silos.
  • Production Excellence: Deliver resilient solutions with a strong focus on stability, ensuring seamless deployments with no disruption to users.
  • Full-Stack Collaboration: Bridge backend complexity with user-facing needs, contributing across the stack when required.
  • Ownership & Impact: Take full ownership of features from design to production, with frequent releases and direct visibility on impact.
  • Mentorship & Best Practices: Promote clean code, testing, and documentation standards while supporting team growth.

Qualifications

We are looking for a product-oriented engineer who thrives in a high-impact, collaborative environment and takes ownership beyond simple task execution.

 

  • ⁠Experience: 5–7+ years of backend development in production environments using Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Database Expertise: Strong experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).
  • Async & Distributed Systems: Experience designing asynchronous workflows using message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS SNS/SQS).
  • Cloud Environment: Hands-on experience with AWS ecosystems (EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk is a plus).
  • Versatility: Ability to work across the full stack when needed in a flexible engineering environment.
  • Communication: Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
     

Nice to Have:

 

  • Experience with real-time data systems or event-driven architectures
  • Exposure to scalable SaaS platforms
  • Interest in AI-driven or data-centric product environments

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary with bonus potential, based on experience.
  • Work Model : Hybrid – 1 day per week on-site (Wednesdays) at the Saint-Denis office in Montreal.
