Responsible for the financial management of the client's asset portfolio, fulfilling the financial obligations according to the terms of the Property Management agreement.Job Description
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform all lease administration/ financial duties, including AP/AR and accruals.
- Assist the Financial Controller in monthly and quarterly closings by timely and accurately providing comprehensive financial reporting packages in accordance with client requirements.
- Prioritize and maintain high volume workload and productivity standards for the client.
- Research, analyze and effectively communicate complex accounting issues and escalate appropriately.
- Apply appropriate procedures for preparation of accounting records, research of transactions and reporting.
- Maintain interface with third-party owners and accounting team to ensure total contract compliance.
- Prepare Service charge reconciliations for every property; Calculate and record straight-line rent based on client preferences.
- Participate in financial and client team meetings and ensure effective communication between accountants and property management team members in order to achieve client’s goals and objectives.
- Comply and assist with internal and external audits by providing appropriate documentation and information as requested.
- Provide and foster positive relationships with the stakeholders: Client, tenants and third-parties entities.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Education/Experience/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline
Work Experience:
- Requires one to three years of real estate financial management or related financial experience
- Specialized Knowledge/Skills – Experience with Yardi, MRI, or other real estate accounting software preferred; Strong Spreadsheet (Excel) Proficiency
