Description

The Commercial Support Specialist supports the North America Commercial organization by improving operational efficiency, streamlining sales processes, and enabling the sales team to focus on revenue-generating activities. This role helps create a faster, smoother, and more effective customer experience by reducing administrative burden, improving internal coordination, and supporting key commercial activities from prospect through close.

This position supports customer onboarding, Salesforce (SFDC) reporting and data management, quoting and proposal coordination, contract administration, sales enablement, training coordination, and commercial event support. The role also partners cross-functionally with sales, finance, legal, marketing, and operations teams to improve responsiveness and support strategic customer accounts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Operations & Sales Support

  • Support day-to-day operational needs of the North America commercial organization

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new customers, including required customer and financial documentation

  • Support customer quoting and proposal activities, particularly for strategic and high-volume accounts

  • Coordinate internal follow-up and communication between sales, operations, finance, and legal teams

  • Help improve commercial processes and reduce administrative inefficiencies

  • Track proposal status, customer requests, and follow-up actions to support responsiveness and customer satisfaction

Salesforce (SFDC) & Reporting

  • Maintain CRM data accuracy and support pipeline management activities

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and sales performance metrics

  • Support forecasting, reporting, and sales analytics needs for commercial leadership

  • Assist with improving CRM adoption and data quality standards

Contracts, Training & Sales Enablement

  • Assist with management and tracking of CDAs, MSAs, and related agreements

  • Coordinate onboarding and training activities for new commercial team members

  • Maintain sales tools, training materials, presentations, and commercial resources

  • Coordinate sales meetings, customer events, trade shows, and promotional materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales support, or related business support role

  • Experience supporting commercial or sales organizations in a fast-paced environment preferred

  • Strong Salesforce (SFDC) skills, including reporting and dashboard management

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, or life sciences industries preferred

  • Process improvement mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Customer-focused approach with strong professionalism and follow-through
