The Role:
The Bilingual Account Representative is tasked with building and maintaining all aspects of the relationship with our smaller group and individual accounts. This dynamic role will liaise with all management levels of our valued clients and develop strategies internally to ensure a strong and continuous partnership.
Working within the Quebec market primarily – and a dedicated territory overall – the Bilingual Account Representative will oversee up to 400 rooftops including all aspects of the Dealer / PBS relationship. With a focus on our Quebec clients the bilingual role requires not only fluency in French but will benefit from an understanding of both the Quebecois business and provincial culture.
The Account Representative role requires working with all internal departments at PBS to maximize engagement and retention. Remote interactions along with onsite travel to foster strong ties with assigned dealerships will occur along with regular documented account reviews to encourage increased software usage, identify operational issues, discuss training and consulting opportunities, gather ideas, and be a customer advocate at PBS.
The role requires general familiarity with all PBS products and the ability to competently present a PBS solution that suits the customer's needs. Being able to comfortably host product demonstrations and effectively communicate the features and benefits in the preferred language of the customer as they relate to customer needs is also a job component.
Specifics include providing business to business transaction oversight, information request response, and general inquiry points to our existing customer base. Attending turnover calls at the end of Go-Live week to introduce newly installed customers to the Account Management team and processes. Maintaining a CRM account log of key interactions and understanding the overall pulse of an account.
Customer retention, listening and organizational skills, and empathy for the client’s operational challenges are the driving factors for this dynamic and rewarding position. Creating a mutually beneficial long-term business to business relationship is key to this role.
This position could be based in Calgary HO or Milton.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a client advocate to ensure concerns are identified and addressed.
- Review and respond to customer requests and liaise with necessary internal departments
- Spearhead escalations and follow up with PBS management and Dealer representatives
- Proactively expand product adoption and system usage with each client
- Adjust processes as needed and work with other PBS teams to identify opportunities for synergy.
- Situational attendance at conventions, trade shows and other external functions relating to assigned client base
- Ability to engage with varying levels of clients from management to operational staff
- Facilitate the efficient sale of products and services, and contract renewals
- Order paperwork and ensuring order flow through the PBS order / delivery process
- Maintain account log of CRM level customer profile describing account activities
- Interact with the Quebec market and understand their unique needs
- Manage customers in both English and French, as required
Qualifications:
- Fluent in French and English
- Post-secondary education, degree or diploma, or equivalent work experience
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and passport
- Dealership operations, software integration, business consulting, or project management experience given preference
- Experience in solution sales environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to work independently are a must
- Solid computer knowledge Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
- Excellent listing and organizational skills
To qualify for this role, you must:
- Have been in your current role for at least 6 months
- Have no PIP (Performance Improvement Plan)
