Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development IT Solution Lead is an experienced individual contributor and subject matter expert responsible for leading the IT solutioning component of new supply chain customer pursuits. This role supports pre-sales activities, including RFI/RFP/RFQ response, customer requirements translation, high-level WMS/TMS/integration/infrastructure solution definition, IT cost modeling and pricing inputs, solution documentation, client technology reviews, and handoff to launch/IT PM teams upon award. The role partners closely with Business Development, Operations/Engineering, Finance, and IT functional teams to deliver competitive, accurate, and aggressively responsible technology solutions that help Ryder win new business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead IT pre-sales solutioning and RFI/RFP/RFQ response for new customer pursuits, including client requirement discovery, high-level WMS/TMS/integration/infrastructure solution design, technology presentations, architectural diagrams, solution documentation, and critical design parameter definition.
• Develop IT cost models and pricing inputs in partnership with Finance and IT functional teams, estimating technology project costs, understanding capitalized costs and multi-year cost impacts, and ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive IT pricing for new business pursuits.
• Coordinate cross-functional pursuit execution across Business Development, Operations/Engineering, Finance, WMS, TMS, Integration, Infrastructure, IT PM, Solution Delivery, and Account Management teams; support customer tech reviews/tours/demos as needed; manage multiple pursuits and priorities; and transition awarded work to launch/implementation teams.

Education
Bachelor's degree Information technology, logistics, supply chain, business, or related field
Experience
3 years or more - Technology-related supply chain industry experience with solution design for warehouse distribution and transportation management, including WMS and TMS capabilities.
IT business development solutioning or similar/relevant experience, including RFI/RFP/RFQ bid response, IT cost model preparation, architectural diagrams, client presentations, and launch-team handoffs.  
Skills and Abilities
Business Development Solutioning: Ability to facilitate/translate client needs and objectives into requirements, project estimates, competitive IT solutions, and bid response materials.     
Financial Cost Modeling Ability to develop/coordinate IT cost models and pricing inputs; understand IT cost drivers, capitalized costs, multi-year cost treatment, and how IT costs impact overall deal economics; partners with Finance.
Customer-Facing Communication: Strong verbal, written, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills; able to present technology solutions and ask relevant operational/process questions. 
Cross-Functional Leadership and Influence Ability to lead through influence across IT functional teams, Business Development, Operations/Engineering, Finance, IT PM, Solution Delivery, and Account Management without direct supervisory authority. 
Documentation and Scope Definition: Strong documentation skills for business requirements, solution scope, critical design parameters, data flows, architectural diagrams, and handoff materials.
Pursuit/Workload Management: Ability to manage multiple pursuits across verticals, set priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and meet urgent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.      
Knowledge
Supply chain technology solutions, including WMS, TMS, warehouse distribution, transportation management, integrations, infrastructure, and related IT components.
3PL/4PL sales/pursuit process, including RFI/RFP/RFQ response, bid solutioning, customer technology reviews, pricing input reviews, and launch/IT PM transition.
Warehouse systems/platforms such as SCALE, Active, or WMOS; warehouse automation concepts; MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Hourly

Minimum Pay Range:

$65.00

Maximum Pay Range:

$85.00
