Description

Dohop is a fast-scaling travel technology company on a mission to make connecting travel seamless for passengers around the world. As we grow, so does the complexity of our finance function, and we’re looking for an ambitious Finance Specialist to help us build the processes and systems that will underpin our next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll be embedded in the day-to-day financial operations of the business while also contributing to longer-term projects, including leveraging AI and automation to help us scale smarter. Key responsibilities

  • Customer Accounts ownership: Taking full responsibility for all areas of Customer Accounts, including revenue journals, invoicing, debt recovery, reconciliations, and close liaison with the Commercial Team.
  • Short-term cash flow reporting: Preparing and maintaining accurate short-term cash flow forecasts to support business planning and treasury management.
  • Month-end close support: Playing an active role in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all assigned areas.
  • Intercompany & transfer pricing: Managing intercompany transactions and ensuring transfer pricing policies are applied correctly and consistently.
  • VAT reporting: Overseeing VAT compliance and reporting obligations, ensuring submissions are accurate and filed on time.
  • Other reporting: Contributing to a range of reporting tasks including investor reporting and other internal and external requirements as they arise.
  • Statutory audit support: Acting as a key point of contact during statutory audits, preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
  • Ad hoc projects: Getting involved in various ad hoc tasks and projects as the business evolves — including automation initiatives that improve efficiency and support scaling.

What we’re looking for

  • A university degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, or business.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to build and maintain financial models and reports.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • An independent, disciplined approach to work, you manage your own priorities and deliver to a high standard without close supervision.
  • A genuine curiosity about how AI can be applied in finance, or a strong drive to develop that understanding quickly.
  • Based in Iceland and eligible to work there.

Nice to have

  • Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central financial system.
