Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant Program Director is responsible for assisting in the administration of the program including planning, directing, controlling, monitoring and evaluating program components.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Be a part of a dynamic behavioral health team comprised of therapists, case managers, and psychiatric prescribers.
  • Assisting the Program Director with supervision of staff.
  • Providing coverage in the Program Director's absence.
  • Providing individual therapy, group therapy, and intake assessments for clients.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field and relevant clinical experience.
  • Behavioral Health Licensure such as: LCSW/LMHC/LPC
  • Experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment both group and individual therapy required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experienced in clinical supervision in an outpatient program preferred.
  • Experience working with the criminal justice population preferred.
  • Experienced in providing Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Treatment, Seeking Safety Treatment, and working with criminal justice population preferred.

Travel requirements:

  • Some Travel-, example once a quarter

  • The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
