You will also be part of building new capabilities in our cloud environment as well as protecting the build pipeline from code to production. To be successful you will need to work closely with the other parts of IT, the different divisions in SSC Space and their development teams to strengthen our security posture.
You will be a key member of the Cyber Security team, working closely with the CISO and contributing to security operations and incident response activities. The position requires a broad enterprise-wide perspective and close collaboration with IT and other SSC Space business units and group functions.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who combines technical security expertise with a pragmatic, collaborative and business-oriented mindset. You are structured, proactive and comfortable working across teams to improve security in a practical and measurable way.

- Security architecture and secure-by-design principles.
- DevSecOps and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Risk assessments, remediation planning and security governance.
- Security documentation, standard operating procedures and internal enablement.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- A strong understanding of enterprise security across IT, cloud and operational environments.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a complex organization.
- The ability to translate security risks into practical recommendations.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a hands-on approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
As a Security Operations Specialist, you will:
- Contribute to and coordinate security incident response as part of the CSIRT.
- Develop and operate security monitoring, SIEM, detection engineering and observability capabilities.
- Perform threat hunting and continuous security monitoring.
- Drive vulnerability management with risk-based prioritization.
- Support security architecture and secure platform design, applying secure-by-design and zero trust principles.
- Enable DevSecOps and secure CI/CD practices.
- Strengthen cloud and platform security, including environments such as AWS and GitHub.
- Support security governance, risk assessments, remediation planning and risk acceptance.
- Improve logging, visibility and detection across SSC Space environments.
- Support the secure use of modern technologies, including automation and AI-assisted tools, in line with SSC Space policies.
- Contribute to security documentation, SOPs and staff enablement.
- Participate in internal security audits and assessments.
Benefits
We offer you
- A unique opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects and play an active role in both the Swedish and international space industry.
- An excellent opportunity for personal and career development.
