KEG 1 Iowa, LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead, coach, and support our Des Moines sales team in achieving company goals while building strong partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. This role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader who can inspire performance, develop talent, execute strategic sales initiatives, and represent the company with professionalism in the marketplace.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop sales team members to achieve individual, team, and company sales objectives.
- Partner in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates for sales roles.
- Provide ongoing training, direction, and follow-up through consistent execution of sales field coaching and “work with” activities.
- Facilitate productive team meetings, encourage collaboration, and gather input from sales, merchandising, brand management, operations, and executive leadership.
- Develop and support incentive programs that build engagement, motivation, and excitement across the sales organization.
- Lead strategic planning and execution for on-premise and off-premise sales goals to drive volume, market share, and overall team performance.
- Plan and coordinate special events, supplier initiatives, community partnerships, and customer-facing activities.
- Serve as a key representative of the sales department and maintain strong communication with company leadership, managers, employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Assist with sales budgeting, monitor expenses, and ensure sales initiatives are executed within approved guidelines.
- Collaborate on product forecasting, inventory planning, promotional execution, signage, merchandising strategies, and new brand or package introductions.
- Promote KEG 1 Iowa, LLC within the industry and support the company’s goal of being the preferred supplier for our customers.
- Respond to customer concerns, build positive business relationships, and uphold the company’s customer service standards.
- Coordinate brewery and supplier programs, participate in quality assurance efforts, and enforce product freshness standards.
- Conduct performance reviews, address performance concerns appropriately, and ensure staffing coverage supports business needs.

Qualifications
- Ten or more years sales leadership or sales management experience, preferably in beverage distribution, consumer products, wholesale, retail, or a related industry.
- Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to lead teams and influence results.
- Demonstrated ability to develop sales plans, manage priorities, monitor performance, and follow through on business objectives.
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze sales activity, support forecasting, manage budgets, and make sound business recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance field activity with administrative responsibilities.
- Professional presence, sound judgment, and a commitment to customer service, teamwork, and company standards.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned market as needed.
- Must be able to comply with company policies and applicable alcohol beverage industry regulations.
