Your Role
- Own and sustain Epi wet scrubbers (Airgard & CIR) to meet fab safety, uptime, and environmental compliance targets.
- Plan, execute, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM), cleaning, calibration, and spare parts strategy for wet scrubber systems.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for scrubber issues (flow/pressure instability, pH/ORP deviations, pump/fan faults, leak & corrosion issues, sensor failures, alarm trips).
- Explore, develop, and implement internal repair/refurbishment capabilities for key scrubber modules (pumps, valves, sensors, control panels, etc.) to reduce cost and lead time.
- Monitor and improve equipment and environmental KPIs (uptime, MTBF, MTTR, exhaust flow, removal efficiency, wastewater quality, alarm rate).
- Lead continuous improvement projects on scrubbers (reliability upgrades, chemical consumption optimization, water/energy savings, parts life extension).
- Coordinate new scrubber installations, retrofits, and capacity upgrades, including hook‑up, SAT/OQ, and integration with Epi tools and facility systems.
- Ensure full compliance with EHS, environmental regulations, and internal standards, applying “Safety by Design” to all modifications (LOTO, containment, ventilation, ergonomics).
- Create and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and train/coach technicians on safe operation, maintenance, and internal repair of wet scrubbers.
- Act as primary technical contact for Airgard & CIR vendors and internal stakeholders, managing technical escalations, upgrades, audits, and service activities.
Your Skills & Experiences
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Environmental, or Automation/Control Engineering, or related field.
- 2 to 3 years' experience in semiconductor fabs, chemical/process plants, or facilities/utilities, working with wet scrubbers, abatement systems, or exhaust treatment.
- Good understanding of wet scrubber principles (mass transfer, gas–liquid contact, pH/ORP control, flow balancing, demisting, mist eliminators).
- Hands‑on experience with Airgard and/or CIR scrubbers, or similar abatement systems (pumps, fans, dosing systems, level/pH sensors, control panels) is a strong plus.
- Experience or strong interest in developing in‑house repair capabilities for modules such as pumps, valves, actuators, instruments, and electrical control components.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, piping layouts, and vendor manuals.
- Familiarity with process safety and environmental standards (chemical handling, exhaust treatment, wastewater limits, ventilation and leak containment practices).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, using data trends, logs, and methods like 5‑Why, FMEA, Pareto to eliminate chronic scrubber issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with Epi process/production, facilities, EHS, maintenance, and equipment vendors.
- Willingness to work in industrial/utility and sub‑fab environments, support shift/on‑call needs, and attend vendor or internal technical trainings when required.
