At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.
In Oracle data and analytics at PwC, you will utilise Oracle's suite of tools and technologies to work with data and derive insights from it. You will be responsible for tasks such as data collection, data cleansing, data transformation, data modelling, data visualisation, and data analysis using Oracle tools like Oracle Database, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Data Visualization, and Oracle Machine Learning.

As part of the Oracle Data and Analytics team you can create conceptual, logical, and physical data models that drive business success. As a Manager you can lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. This role offers the chance to leverage your knowledge in data modeling tools and SQL to deliver exceptional solutions that meet client needs.

What You Must Have

- Bachelor's Degree

- 5 years of experience

- Oral and written proficiency in English required

- Proficiency in any Data modeling tool like Erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio, or IBM Infosphere Data Architect

- Strong knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle for Data analysis

- Familiarity with ETL processes to map data flows

- Expertise in normalization, denormalization, and Data Vault 2.0

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Ability to work independently as a Subject Matter Expert

What Sets You Apart

Key Responsibilities

• Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for relational and non-relational databases.
• Oversee the development and delivery of data models, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Develop data modelling strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to define data architecture roadmaps.
• Ensure data governance and compliance standards are maintained within modelling activities.
• Convert complex business needs into technical data requirements and structures.
• Create Source to target mappings, maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
• Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
• Liaise with ETL developers, data architects, and stakeholders to ensure data integrity.
• Implement data standards, security, and quality principles. 
• Mentor a team of data modelers and analysts.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in any Data modeling tool like Erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio, or IBM Infosphere Data Architect.
