The ATS team is a collaborative and innovative group of IT professionals dedicated to advancing SFU’s mission. We deliver expert development, integration, and implementation services by leveraging both established and emerging technologies, working closely with partners across the university to create impactful solutions.
About the Role
The Application Developer is primarily responsible for developing, deploying, and integrating commercial, locally developed, and
open source software packages to provide applications and services for large segments of the University Community. The Application Developer elicits, analyzes, validates, and verifies business objectives, processes and functions for software development and/or integration to optimize the use of technology and improve organizational effectiveness, efficiencies and economies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or related discipline, and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft application technologies including .NET, C#, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
- Excellent knowledge of modern web development technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, AngularJS, ReactJS, Redux, ES6, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Excellent knowledge of web services technologies including REST, JSON, and OAuth.
