Description

Are you an experienced ICT technician looking for your next challenge in the education sector and do you want to work in a role that combines technical leadership, hands-on support, and a direct impact on the learning environment of pupils? If so, this is the opportunity for you.

You will play a key role in keeping the School’s ICT environment running smoothly, making sure networks, servers, wireless systems, and devices are reliable and ready to support teaching and learning every day.

In this varied, hands-on role, you will troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of ICT issues, helping staff and students get the most from their technology. Whether you are fixing faults or setting up new equipment, you will keep systems up to date and running efficiently.

You will also take a proactive approach, monitoring performance and carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise disruption. Alongside this, you will help maintain clear documentation and support ICT procurement, ensuring the school’s technology is well-managed and fit for the future.

Where relevant, you will support and guide junior technicians, helping to share knowledge, organise workloads, and deliver a high-quality service across the team.

This is a hands-on, support-focused role ideal for someone with solid experience in ICT within an educational setting. The postholder may also be required to support other schools in the area during periods of high demand or staff absence.

This role is predominately based at Bishop Justus School, Bromley, Magpie Hall Lane, BR2 8HZ and is full-time, with some flexibility required.

Apply today and make a real impact in the education sector!

Please note: Annual leave requests for this role will be required to be taken during the schools holiday periods.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience managing ICT systems in schools or a similar environment
  • Experience supporting Windows, Microsoft Office, hardware (e.g. PCs, printers, interactive whiteboards), and mobile devices (iOS/macOS)
  • Effective communication
  • The ability to manage workloads and support others
  • Commitment to customer service and continual development

Why Join Us?

  • Make a direct difference in the everyday learning of pupils and staff.
  • Be part of a supportive, values-driven organisation.
