The Opportunity: The Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. This position partners with clients, members of the design team, site superintendents, trade contractors, and government authorities to accomplish the goals of the project team and ensure on-budget and on-time completion of all projects. The Project Manager establishes, maintains, and accurately reports on all project-related financials in collaboration with the Project Director.

This position builds positive relationships with all project team members and ensures that each project meets company quality standards. This individual is expected to exemplify and promote company values in all relationships within the Construction Team, as well as with clients, design team members, trade contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.

Duties and Functions

• Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout the design-build process

• Organize and attend meetings with clients and the design team to achieve project goals

• Accurately schedule all aspects of the project from pre-construction through close-out

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, design team members, site superintendents, and subcontractors

• In collaboration with the Project Engineer, execute all project-related agreements, including Construction Agreements, Letters of Intent, Subcontract Agreements, and Notices to Proceed

• Prepare and distribute bid packages for assigned projects, ensuring a competitive bidding process in coordination with the Project Engineer

• Participate in developing accurate project budgets and monitor progress billings based on the percentage of work completed each month

• Review and approve shop drawings, project-specific materials, and submittals

• Communicate regularly with the Site Superintendent to identify potential issues or changes within a project

• Promptly address and resolve project-related issues

• Provide regular project updates to the Project Executive team

• Track and update change events throughout the course of each project

• Visit project sites regularly to ensure work is on schedule and meets company quality standards

• Manage the close-out process, ensuring delivery of warranties and equipment manuals, collection of final lien waivers, issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy, and reconciliation of the final budget

• Ensure all projects are delivered on budget and on time

• Collaborate with senior leadership to support divisional goals

• Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices within the construction division

Qualification Standards

• Strong team orientation with a positive attitude and a solution-based mindset

• Strong organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to analyze problems and make sound, timely decisions based on objectives, risks, implications, and cost

• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Ability to present information clearly in both group and one-on-one settings

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred

• Minimum of 5–7 years of prior construction experience, preferably in resort, hospitality, or similar environments

This position is critical to maintaining high standards of quality, fostering strong relationships, and supporting the continued growth and success of the construction division.
