Solution Architect (Java / Spring Boot)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to provide end-to-end application systems design, ensuring alignment between business requirements, architectural standards, and optimal resource utilisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with organisational strategy, with a strong focus on Java-based backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of robust, scalable, and secure application architectures
• Translate business requirements into technical solution designs
• Ensure alignment of architecture with enterprise standards and governance frameworks
• Balance functional requirements with performance, cost, and resource considerations
• Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, developers, and enterprise architects
• Guide and support development teams throughout the solution lifecycle
• Ensure integration of systems across complex enterprise environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture practices and standards

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Strong Java backend development experience
• Advanced experience in Java J2EE and/or Spring Boot
• Proven experience in Solution Architecture within enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of system design, integration patterns, and API development
• Experience working in complex, large-scale financial or enterprise systems

Nice to Have

• Experience within banking or financial services environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
